Dollar is Doom; Bull is Boom

Tridib Nandy in 2011, when on sabbatical in Hawaii, became acquainted with the fractional reserve concept which basically is about the Federal Reserve of the United States being given a free hand in printing US dollar currency. This process is in the global scheme of things simply a disaster as the ripple effect on economies is apparent and observable. During his time in Hawaii, he also spent time with Dayne Aleka Gonsalves, of Kekaha, also known as Alii Nui (king) Aleka Aipoalani of the Polynesian Kingdom of Atooi. While learning their general and cultural history he became acquainted with how the American dollar and imperialist practices of the settlers had ruined the local economy and way of life. Tridib then set upon a journey of trying to bring back economic sovereignity to the polynesian people and indigenous people around the world.

The Great Reset is around the corner, so we better get prepared. The buzz word of late is about the reset. So what is the great reset? Throughout history, during world changing events the powers that be have engineered financial coups that have benefited select elites to the detriment of the greater many. Whether during the French revolution, he depression of 1933, the breton-woods agends of post world war 2, and now the global covid pandemic, monetary currency has lost value because of surreptitious manipulation by faceless bureaucrats, royals and elites.

The World Economic Forum for example is putting out statements like “you won’t own anything and you will be happy”. Larry Fink the founder and CEO of black rock says “It’s time for a reset on capitalism”. The Lincoln Financial Group states “ The new normal is an opportunity for the great reset”.

The IMF has released a new currency called the SDR (Special Drawing Rights) which is poised to replace the dollar. The USD will lose 31% of its value and all the retirement savings and pension funds of hard working people will be worth nothing!

What does it mean for the vast majority of us and what do we need to do about it? We need to insulate ourselves by decentralizing our wealth for one and get out of central planners’ grips. This is about putting one’s wealth into assets that are free of governmental control. To this effect we invite you our viewers to invest in the Bull Run Coin Token which is the perfect decentralized crypto asset that will save you the heartache and the misery of the great reset.

So, while the dollar goes down, the bull run coin will ensure that you don’t lose your hard earned wealth and you can hedge your prosperity off this one token which will invest in all the major upcoming DeFi Coins, Tokens and NFTs. Defi Bull Fund will be backed by Bitcoin and Sovereign Money Bond type investments which will ensure stability and endurance of the fund and its returns to investors.

SOVEREIGN UNION

Tridib has been involved in the blockchain and cryptocurrencies space for about a decade. He has been a blockchain evangelist and international speaker. While his current focus is on building a crypto-fund for innovative cutting edge projects, his past experience of working with sovereign governments to set up decentralized sovereign currencies and e-governance frameworks has been his crowning achievement.

This article seeks to give the reader a glimpse into this project and what it is all been about. Sovereign Union was an initiative set up by a group of blockchain experts, to provide solutions to run a fully functioning digital nation on the blockchain. The initiative covers several countries in the pacific and has been implemented successfully in a phased and requirements specific manner.

In September 2020, Apollo Fintech under the guidance of the CEO of Sovereign Union Tridib Nandy, completed the implementation of the National Payment Platform. It allows a country to issue a national stablecoin digital currency for national adoption and enables a government agency such as the central bank to add commercial banks and agents.

The entire platform has the capability to power an economy from peer to peer transactions, to merchants, using the app, sms, QR codes, cards, offline codes and more. Authorized banks can onboard citizens and merchants for mainstream transactions like currency deposits and withdrawals, currency exchange, money transfers and payment for goods and services.

The pilot programs were launched in Palau and Micronesia. The companies’ proposed ledger applications include the NPP and Apollo E-Governance platform, these efforts were aimed at transitioning pacific-area territories and their largely un-banked population towards an efficient, cashless economy.

This exciting partnership brings communities in the Pacific the ability to utilize a cashless economy without the traditional barriers of ePayments, allowing any nation to take part in the cashless revolution,” says Sovereign Union founder Tridib Nandy. “Frictionless commerce via digital stablecoins will empower economies across the Pacific to create new prosperity and to achieve a better economic future.”

Tridib’s involvement in this project goes beyond just implementing technology, and is informed by the disruptive power of blockchain and its ability to revolutionize world economies and nations. His why is much stronger than the what. Coming from a place of questioning the status-quo he finds in the decentralized an all encompassing answer that can change the way things have hitherto been done to become more inclusive and truly democratic.

An earlier blog post alluded to the historical injustices that indigenous people had to face under colonial occupation that had lead to their disenfranchisement and disillusionment. In this technology, Tridib sees a new age of emancipation for these populations in truly asserting their sovereignty and uniqueness.

Nandy Psychedelia

Psychedelics have always been used in traditional societies and cultures as a way of healing and spiritually connecting with the unseen world within. This natural, widely accepted means has slipped into oblivion because of punitive laws that have pushed it underground. Why these laws exist is a piece for another article, but suffice it to know they are not for the greater good of humanity.

Tridib’s own experiments with psychedelia have opened his mind and heart up to possibilities that he has seen and experienced and that he would like to share with the world. Psychedelics for treatment of terminal conditions of mind-body, psychedelics of unleashing the inner potential of a human being and general well-being.

The West is just beginning to rediscover the positive effects of psychedelic treatment for certain conditions like PTSD, and other terminal mental illnesses and conditions. Tridib has been closely involved with organizations like the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies and The John Hopkins Medical Institute’s Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research.

Drugs like LSD and MDMA (called lucy and molly on the street) are being used increasingly to treat PTSD, anxiety and depression. Used in small quantities at regular intervals, these have been known to produce relief in patients. So what are psychedelics really? Psychedelics are a class of hallucinogenic compounds whose primary effect is a triggered non-ordinary state of consciousness via serotonin 2A receptor agonism. This causes specific psychological, visual and auditory changes and often a substantially altered state of consciousness.

There are a long list of such substances and this articles will try to touch upon the basic few:

  • LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) is a chemically synthesized hallucinogen, developed from ergot, a kind of mold that grows on rye grain. Also known as acid or simply LSD, it was widely used in the 1960s until it was made illegal. Its use has continued though despite being a controlled substance. During LSD intoxication, users may experience visual other sensory distortions, changes to their though processes, and intense euphoric emotions. A few reported experiencing new insights. An acid trip can last up to 12 hours.

  • Dimethyl Tryptamine or DMT is a naturally occurring substance found in the barks and nuts of certain trees in Central and South America. The effects of DMT are much shorter than other psychedelics typically lasting one hour. The DMT experience has sometimes been described as a Near Death Experience with features associated with feeling of transcending one’s body and entering an alternate realm, a high pitched whining or whirring sound during the onset of the experience, perceiving and communicating with ‘presences’ or ‘entities’, reflections on death, dying and after-life.

  • Ololiuqui in Morning Glory Seeds has a similar effect to LSD, but also has unpleasant side effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, high blood pressure, and drowsiness.

  • Psilocybin is naturally occurring in a type of mushroom, often referred to as magic mushrooms. These mushrooms may be cultivated but are found growing in the wild. They can be recognized by their slender stems that are whitish-gray and dark brown caps with light brown or white in the center. They may be consumed directly or cooked with food. The effect takes about 20-40 minutes to begin and may last up to 6 hours. The trip can be described to be a milder version of the acid trip.

  • MDMA or ecstasy is a mood altering substance with much less to no hallucinogenic effect. The trip is associated with strong feelings of empathy, compassion, love and a general feel good mood and connection. Negative side effects associated with its use include overheating, dehydration, and water intoxication.

  • Mescaline is a naturally occurring psychedelic substance found in a type of cactus called Peyote. Peyote has been traditionally used in native American culture among shamans and people seeking communion with the spirit world and the ancestors and its consumption is a sacred ritual among the native American people and is till this day practiced by the native American Church and although a schedule-I controlled substance, its use is allowed for ritual purposes though suppliers need to be licensed with their license renewed every year.

  • Ibogaine or Iboga is found in the bark of a specific tree that grows in the Congo. It is a unique psychedelic that needs to be used in the presence of a trained medium. It puts the user into a deep state of trance. The experience has often been described as enlightening or illuminating. This substance is often used in the treatment of chronic addictive disorders or against substance abuse.

  • Ayahuasca is an ancient medicinal plant that has been used by the Amazonian tribes for centuries for spiritual and personal growth. It is also used as a medicine in traditional cultures because of its medicinal and healing properties. Ayahuasca is used as a laxative, hallucinogen, detoxifying agent, and deworming agent. Ayahuasca use is now spreading across the globe and clinical studies are being conducted to understand its role in neurophysiology, psychiatry, and neuropharmacology.

  • THC in Marijuana, the substance causing the high of euphoria due to the rush of dopamine in the brain, has been one of the most widespread used substances on the planet. Hemp was the mainstay fiber in the United States before the Nylon industry took over and because of the preponderance and lobbying power that the petroleum and petroleum products industry possessed, it was outlawed. This is currently changing with it being decriminalized and legalized in many jurisdictions in geographies around the world. Tridib’s involvement in this was spoken about in a separate article.

Western science is returning to its traditional roots with an increased and widespread acceptance of using these substances under controlled conditions for the treatment of specific conditions – psychological and physical as the situation demands.

Tridib’s blockchain and crypto projects encompass this particular realm as all of these and related projects will be brought under one umbrella fund possibly the DeFi Bull Fund which will be the one stop fund for all such projects that are slated to change the world.

There is an irrefutable connection of psychedelics with mental health and wellness and a body of scientific research and peer reviewed articles to back up these facts. Is is Tridib’s passion of contributing to world wellness through various means like music, psychedelia, yoga and mindful living, that he is currently lending his efforts to.

In the United States alone, where the general trend has been to prescribe pharmaceutical drugs to manage psychological conditions like depression and other diseases, with a large number of people eventually becoming opioid dependent, the use of psychedelics shows much promise of weaning off such a dependent society from substances that cause more harm than do good and in turn heal them and solve the issue at the root rather than merely treat the symptom. Of course it has been the effort of the powerful pharmaceutical lobbies with big commercial interests and deep pockets to try and ensure its continued survival. Nonetheless, the increased importance of psychedelics cannot be ignored, at least not for long.

Tridib’s Psychedelic research fund under the aegis of the decentralized fund will aim at using blockchain technology with the decentralized approach to bring cures and comfort to people who are eventually desperately in need for such medications, but do not have access or don’t know how. His initiative will aim at popularizing the therapeutic effects of psychedelics in curing hitherto known diseases that the existing system and frameworks have failed to do.

What we have today is an over-drugged pharmaceutical drug dependent population that is crying out for help, not knowing where to turn to. Were they to be introduced to alternate treatment options and experience the relief that it can bring to their situation, they would prefer and opt for that and soon that will drive main stream adoption of psychedelics in the treatment of mind-body. It is heartening though to acknowledge that many well respected and recognized institutions have now started to utilize and encourage these methods with people who so desperately need them.

An abstract from Nature says – “The current wave of interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics is something of a renaissance. In the 1950s and 1960s, scientists published more than 1,000 articles on using psychedelics as a psychiatric treatment; the drugs were tested on around 40,000 people in total4. Then, as recreational use of the drugs spread, they were banned and the FDA constricted supplies for research. Only recently have neuroscientists and psychopharmacologists such as Carhart-Harris had the technology to start unpicking how they work in the brain. That has given them some insights as to how these compounds might help in psychiatric disease.

Researchers started exploring the biological effects of psychedelics in the late 1990s, using neuroimaging techniques such as positron emission tomography before and after volunteers used the drugs, or in conjunction with antagonists that dampen some of their effects. The studies show similarities in how brains respond to psychedelics such as psilocybin and LSD, as well as to N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT), the active ingredient in ayahuasca, and to mescaline, a psychedelic compound derived from the peyote cactus. They all act on receptors for serotonin, a neurotransmitter that affects mood.

Serotonin is also the target of the predominant class of psychiatric drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs. It is now thought that these antidepressants work not by flooding the brain with the neurotransmitter, as was initially assumed, but by stimulating neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to forge new neuronal connections. There is some evidence that psychedelic drugs, such as psilocybin, enhance neuroplasticity in animals, and limited evidence suggests that the same might happen in human brains. Clinical studies also suggest that the biological effects work best in concert with human guidance.”

Tridib Jah Rasta

Tridib’s journeys have taken him far and wide, his experiences multi-dimensional and transformative have been about unearthing the hidden deeper meaning of life and exploring his purpose on this planet. One love affair that has always been ongoing has been his romance with Mary Jane a.k.a ganja a.k.a marijuana a.k.a weed, or whatever one chooses to call it. Not just from a recreational perspective but also from a spiritual and healing traditional medicinal perspective. Tridib’s foray into plant medicine, took him to the land of the Rastafarians, Jamaica.

Tridib has always intuitively known that the problems of the world are because we as humans have come so far from natures ways and are in disharmony with it. Traditional healing techniques are about restoring the balance and hence the harmony with one’s natural roots. The Rastafarian religion for one believes in natural living and the natural balance of things. The use of the “herb” has always had a divine place in their religion and used ceremonially and considered special because of its restorative and healing properties.

The Rastafarian movement started in the 1930s largely among the disenfranchised Afro-Jamaicans as a reaction against colonial oppression and was influenced by back to the roots ideology. The movement developed after several Protestant Christian clergymen, most notably Leonard Howell, proclaimed that Haile Selassie’s crowning as Emperor of Ethiopia in 1930 fulfilled a Biblical prophecy. The movement gained prominence through the popularity of Rasta-Reggae musicians like Bob Marley.

The Rasta religion embraces mysticism in getting to know Jah or God directly and hence reducing the distance between humanity and divinity. Their central figure is the Haile Selassie of Ethiopia the sovereign who was crowned in 1930 and is considered to be the fulfillment of the prophesy in the book of Daniel. The religion borrows its tenets from the bible but differs in their understanding of the teachings and the general belief is that modern day Christianity is a misinterpretation and perversion of the original teachings through narrow political interests.

The Rastas for example believe that the original Bible was written in stone in Amharic. The believe that the true meaning of the bible was distorted through manipulation by those seeking to deny black Africans their history. They regard the bible to be “cryptographic” (another reference to Blockchain Technology!) with hidden meaning than can be revealed through intuition and meditation and in communion with the God within.

Most rastas share the fundamental principles of “love of God and love of your neighbor”and they believe that in order to undertake any act, one has to consult Jah within. The believe in living naturally in accordance with nature’s law. It endorses the idea of Africa being the natural abode of black Africans where they are allowed to be themselves on a physical, emotional and intellectual level. The concepts central in their belied are Babylon and Zion. Babylon gets its origins from the Bible which speaks of the imprisoned Israelites within Babylon. The oppressive, racist social structures of Western though and influence were hence equated to Babylon.

Rastas refer to their cultural and religious practices as “livity”. Rastafari does not place emphasis on hierarchical structures. It has no professional priesthood, with Rastas believing that there is no need for a priest to act as mediator between the worshipper and divinity. It nevertheless has “elders”, an honorific title bestowed upon those with a good reputation among the community. Although respected figures, they do not necessarily have administrative functions or responsibilities. When they do oversee ritual meetings, they are often responsible for helping to interpret current events in terms of Biblical scripture. Elders often communicate with each other through a network to plan movement events and form strategies.

The term “grounding” is used among Rastas to refer to the establishment of relationships between like-minded practitioners. Groundings often take place in a commune or yard, and are presided over by an elder. The elder is charged with keeping discipline and can ban individuals from attending. The number of participants can range from a handful to several hundred. Activities that take place at groundings include the playing of drums, chanting, the singing of hymns, and the recitation of poetry. Cannabis, known as ganja, is often smoked. Most groundings contain only men, although some Rasta women have established their own all-female grounding circles.

One of the central activities at groundings is “reasoning“. This is a discussion among assembled Rastas about the religion’s principles and their relevance to current events. These discussions are supposed to be non-combative, although attendees can point out the fallacies in any arguments presented. Those assembled inform each other about the revelations that they have received through meditation and dream. Each contributor is supposed to push the boundaries of understanding until the entire group has gained greater insight into the topic under discussion. In meeting together with like-minded individuals, reasoning helps Rastas to reassure one another of the correctness of their beliefs. Rastafari meetings are opened and closed with prayers. These involve supplication of God, the supplication for the hungry, sick, and infants, and calls for the destruction of the Rastas’ enemies, and then close with statements of adoration.

The largest groundings were known as “groundations” or “grounations” in the 1950s, although they were subsequently re-termed “Nyabinghi Issemblies”. The term “Nyabinghi” is adopted from the name of a mythical African queen. Nyabinghi Issemblies are often held on dates associated with Ethiopia and Haile Selassie. These include Ethiopian Christmas (7 January), the day on which Haile Selassie visited Jamaica (21 April), Selassie’s birthday (23 July), Ethiopian New Year (11 September), and Selassie’s coronation day (2 November). Some Rastas also organise Nyabinghi Issemblies to mark Jamaica’s Emancipation Day (1 August) and Marcus Garvey‘s birthday (17 August).

Nyabinghi Issemblies typically take place in rural areas, being situated in the open air or in temporary structures—known as “temples” or “tabernacles”—specifically constructed for the purpose. Any elder seeking to sponsor a Nyabinghi Issembly must have approval from other elders and requires the adequate resources to organise such an event. The assembly usually lasts between three and seven days. During the daytime, attendees engage in food preparation, ganja smoking, and reasoning, while at night they focus on drumming and dancing around bonfires. Nyabinghi Issemblies often attract Rastas from a wide area, including from different countries. They establish and maintain a sense of solidarity among the Rasta community and cultivate a feeling of collective belonging. Unlike in many other religions, rites of passage play no role in Rastafari; on death, various Rastas have been given Christian funerals by their relatives, as there are no established Rasta funeral rites.

The principal ritual of Rastafari is the smoking of ganja, also known as marijuana or cannabis. Among the names that Rastas give to the plant are callie, Iley, “the herb”, “the holy herb”, “the grass”, and “the weed”. Cannabis is usually smoked during groundings, although some practitioners also smoke it informally in other contexts. Some Rastas smoke it almost all of the time, something other practitioners regard as excessive, and many practitioners also ingest cannabis in a tea, as a spice in cooking, and as an ingredient in medicine. However, not all Rastas use ganja; abstainers explain that they have already achieved a higher level of consciousness and thus do not require it.

Tridib traveled to Jamaica in the company of Steve DeAngelo to gain knowledge and understanding of Rasta spiritual practices, life and values as underpinned in his own spiritual journey or awakening. Steve DeAngelo is a pioneering cannabis entrepreneur, activist, author, and on-screen personality. He co-founded several iconic cannabis businesses and organizations: Harborside, one of the first six dispensaries licensed in the US; Steep Hill Laboratory, the first dedicated cannabis lab; the Arc View Group, the first cannabis investment firm; and the National Cannabis Industry Association, the industry’s first trade association. He currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of Harborside Inc, a vertically integrated California cannabis company.

Steve’s creative projects include a book,The Cannabis Manifesto; a Discovery Channel mini-series, Weed Wars; and a new weekly show, Ask Steve DeAngelo, on greenflowermedia.com. He was a lead organizer and fundraiser for I-59, Washington DC’s medical cannabis initiative; and is most famous for his successful litigation against the Department of Justice, which halted DOJ’s last-ditch 2011 campaign to shut down California’s medical cannabis dispensaries.

He writes in one of his articles- “Like the Walls of Jericho, all around the world cannabis laws are tumbling down. More and more people are using cannabis, and using it more openly, but there is still a great deal of confusion about the plant and the role it should play in our lives—even in the minds of those who consume it regularly, and embrace it enthusiastically. Some see cannabis as an intoxicant with varying levels of danger; other people view the plant as a medicine and some believe it to be a spiritual sacrament. After a decade of directly serving and caring for medical cannabis patients, I’ve come to think of it as a wellness product.”

In recognition of these pioneering accomplishments, in 2015, former Speaker of the California Assembly and Mayor of San Francisco, the Hon. Willie L Brown called Steve the “Father of the legal Cannabis Industry.”

During that time Tridib had the overarching realization that his involvement with blockchain and crypto could revolutionize the cannabis industry as we know it. From that time on he resolved to work at creating a decentralized ecosystem for legal cannabis trade and means of funding such projects and initiatives.

He is currently working to create a green fund, and cannabis coin to fund initiatives in the space.

Induced Enlightenment

Living in an induced state of enlightenment, with an attitude of flamboyance, Tridib has had the chance at #having_known_and_done_it_all. He lives like a hippy but walks like a king. When people obsessed and talked about automobiles like bikes and cars, he used to laugh to himself, because he had a jet and a chopper at his disposal at any given point of the time. He was after all a self made man who understood the value of playing it not only hard but also smart. A serial entrepreneur who has ever only worked for himself, he has learned life’s hard lessons. His wisdom surpasses his years and he is ever ready for anything.

When the general population were discussing about acquiring real estate, Tridib was living in Honolulu and has had two houses- one in Diamond Head and another in Kailua. When the masses were discussing money, Tridib was busy helping build the future of money – the decentralized monetary printing system, the central bank digital currency which people around the world will soon start to use.

When people were talking about and being enamored with status, Tridib hired the Spanish Consulate building in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, something he could do because he was at that time a recently appointed cultural ambassador enjoying diplomatic immunity. He was all the while hosting wild parties within a protected compound.

When the discussions were around actresses and models, he was living with one of the most sought after Shamanicas in L.A, Hollywood.

When audiences were still speaking about enlightenment, he was experimenting with ways and reached nirvana through a thousand days of lucifying. As the last test, he landed in jail on a non-bailable warrant but his case was eventually thrown out because of the powers that had been bestowed upon him by both the Gods and Devil.

Tridib and the King

Tridib the blockchain evangelist, the serial entrepreneur, the disruptive tech-preneur, has had his share of experiences, but none has stood out in his mind more than the time he had spent with the King of Atooi and the Polynesian people, Dayne Aleka Gonsalves also known as Ali‘i Nui. It was in 2011 when Tridib dived headfirst into the world of crypto, that his tryst with the rights and freedoms of indigenous people began.

Tridib saw an unalienable link between blockchain/cryptocurrency and how it could be used to serve a larger purpose of bringing economic and political sovereignty to indigenous people around the world, beginning with the Polynesians. To this effect, Tridib has been involved with projects in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.

Tridib was at the time issued a special invitation to visit and discuss with the King of Polynesia Ali‘i Nui a proposal to use blockchain technology to transform their governance model with a focus on autonomy and self-governence. During this time that he spent with the King of Atooi, and the Ploynesian people, Tridib learned a great deal about the cultural and economic history of the Hawaiians.

He learned that beginning with the British in the 1700s up until the annexation of Hawaii to the United States in 1900, Hawaii’s history had been one of colonial domination and persecution much to the detriment of the interests and rights of the local indigenous population. The Ali‘i’s idea then was to seek a solution outside the possible political and economic hegemony of the United states to set his people free and reclaim their sovereign rights. It was such ideas that gave birth to certain initiatives using blockchain technology which he considered to be perfectly suited to the cause because of being decentralized. He hoped that certain economic (read crypto) and blockchain (e-governance) could at least to some extent help lay the foundations to true independence.

Tridib understood the issues and call at hand and partnered with the Bancor Foundation to create Central Bank Digital Currency and digital e-governance framework for pacific governments exploring ways to exercise rights as an independent jurisdiction and issue sovereign electronic currency. He had helped establish the sovereign union and in partnership with Apollo Fintech, he was helping create greater financial inclusiveness for the people of Polynesia including the unbanked. As he stated “Frictionless commerce via digital stablecoins will empower economies across the Pacific to create new prosperity and to achieve a better economic future.”

With this background, Tridib understood that his involvement with the crypto/blockchain movements bigger picture was to do with furthering the economic and political sovereignty of historically oppressed and colonized peoples beginning with Polynesia and slowly encompassing other parts of the world.

Tridib continues to work in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space to bridge the gap for the under-served and under-represented. His current initiatives called the defi bull fund seeks to introduce the crypto space to the lay investor by making it easy for one to invest in the crypto market through the crypto-mutual fund thus relatively de-risking and simplifying the process. An initiative he started because of the questions he used to face from friends and family about crypto and his lifestyle.

The other initiative is the Musiverse project which is a project based on his background as a musician which he began with his close confidant and associate musician Colin Power which is about empowering the artist/musician to be able to create and profit from their own label, using fan crowdfunding and eliminating the middleman (agents and record companies). Both the artist and fans get to participate and enjoy more meaningful returns for the investment of their time, talent and resources.

Tridib, the revolutionary

Tridib has always been the ecumenical rebel in the sense of pushing the limits of conventional reality as we know it. Never satisfied with simplistic answers, he has always held out against what is called popular opinion, seeking instead to define his own path, his own way of doing things. From a certain perspective it would be called contrarian, but from his perspective, it has all been about experimenting and finding out for oneself.

It has been in this vein that Tridib’s journey has taken him through myriad experiences and up to life’s fringes. Always a daredevil, Tridib hasn’t backed away from a good adventure, a trait that has often times even found him on the wrong side of the law, although unwittingly. From the cold of Scandinavia to the sun kissed beaches of Hawaii, this world nomad has suffice it to say, seen it all.

Ever at the fore, he has never shied away from the public’s eye be it from playing main stage at a concert, as captain of the tennis team or dating blondes. From crashing graduation dinners of rival colleges to streaking naked across the Hotel greens, being chased by the guards, Tridib or Nandy as he is called, has had quite a colorful bouquet of experiences to talk about.

He’s even sneaked across country borders without official government approval and sailed the high seas in luxurious yachts, or smoked the best herb in Jamica with the legendary Steve DeAngelo, his experiences are as varied and diverse as his talents.

Tridib has seldom been comfortable with the status quo, no matter what the rules, the rules that would prevail are his own. It is from such a history and backdrop that Nandy had walked into a myriad of entrepreneurial experiences in the fields of education, aviation, insurance and blockchain. It was blockchain really though that has held his fancy and he has spent the large part of the last decade neck deep in knowing, understanding and executing cutting edge projects in this field.

Why blockchain? Well because it a buzz word that represents in a way a true democratic alternative to the way things were done and of-course because printing money has been a pet obsession of Nandy since his childhood days. He’s finally had his chance of printing currency with the Bull Run Coin which is plans to use as a way to make his ultimate dreams a reality but more importantly in helping his friends, family and extended networks achieve their dreams and include them in his heady of a journey.

Tridib is someone who is a walking talking contradiction and to many he may even come across as mad or crazy, but it is said that there is a fine line between insanity and genius. An artist by design, he is equally adept at the guitar as he is when it comes to sealing billion dollar deals. He is a man of many talents and many passions and he tries to live a self actualized life through what he does.

At other times he’s walking the metaphorical tightrope while juggling his myriad activities. Keeping pace with him can seem daunting at times. Living life on the edge is his motto or at least used to be. He’s had many a close scrape, once even getting away with his life and at another time spending a month in prison.

Of all things, no matter what the motivation, he always comes from a good place and his core principle is to not cause harm to anyone in any shape or form.

So who is Tridib really then anyway? He is whatever and whoever you consider him to be. Hi is a revolutionary.

RIDING THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE

In 2008, a whitepaper by Satoshi Nakomoto (a pseudonym for an anonymous person or group of persons) about financial peer-to-peer transactions laid the foundation for an alternate system and way of doing things through blockchain technology. This also lead to the establishment of cryptocurrencies and the crypto-ecosystem. More than a decade later now, blockchain and cryptocurrencies have become ubiquitous and the use cases keep expanding. There have been many pioneers of this field along the way that have changed, disrupted and leveled the playing field. One such person involved from the early days of the revolution is Tridib Nandy.

Tridib Nandy who is a serial entrepreneur has been involved with Education, Aviation, Insurance and Blockchain. While on sabbatical in Hawaii in 2011, he came across Bitcoin, when he had an epiphany that this was the future of things to come. He has since embarked on the crypto journey and never looked back. As part of his foray into the field of crypto, Tridib has been involved with educating pacific nation governments with the support of the Bancor protocol on Central Banking Digital Currencies and Governance frameworks using blockchain technologies.

Tridib has been part of various think tanks in silicon valley and governments. He is a member international ambassador of block-chain foundation of India. He was invited in 2013 as keynote speaker at the Blockchain Foundation of India and is part of the organizing committee for the 2021 blockchain conference to happen in Goa, India. Tridib is currently founder to DeFi Bull Fund, a crypto-mutual-fund which tried to simplify and demystify investing in crypto assets for lay people. The other project is the Musiverse project which is about taking the power out of the hand of middlemen and putting it back into the hands of the musician in order that they can genuinely benefit and get value for their talent and efforts.

DeFi Bull Fund is a one of its kind DeFi Crypto-Mutual-Fund which invests in the top forty DeFi cryptos and NFTs through the BRC (Bull Run Coin) Token which is currently listed on the Binance Smart Chain. The value of the BRC is pegged to the value of these crypto assets which when appreciate or depreciate, will determine the value of the token. Investors can hence track the performance of their investment through the value of the BRC. Investors may purchase the token directly on the defibullfund website through the integrated wallet and keep a tab of their investment on their individualized dashboards.

One can invest in the fund by buying the BRC either using crypto or fiat. The BRC is freely interchangeable with other cryptos. Clients will be issued with Visa cards to be able to make purchases/transact using their crypto-balances. The BRC will be the primary way of staking, trading and to use for governance. The fund is working at attracting HNIs, Institutional investors and Sovereign Government Dollar Bond type investments. Tridib and the NFT revolution

Tridib Nandy is a multifaceted and multi-talented individual, musician par excellence, serial entrepreneur and disruptive (blockchain) tech-preneur. Having come full circle, he’s decided to invest his efforts and energy in solving an issue that has been close to his heart as long as he can remember. As an active and integral member of the musician community, having been associated with and played with leading names in the industry, Tridib has seen firsthand how musicians often don’t get what they deserve for their efforts and talent. Musicians are exploited by recording companies and middleman and don’t see tangible returns on their efforts. Tridib is finally deciding to do something about this. His solution- NFTs.

Tridib has founded the musiverse initiative along with Colin Power, another brilliant tech talent and m usician, to bring the power back into the hands of aspiring as well as well known musicians. Musiverse is a block-chain platform (first of its kind) that will enable musicians to list their work and earn directly from the contribution and investment of fans and well wishers. In a sense each artist will own their own record label and all earnings will go directly to them, hence cutting out the middleman. Fans can also stake their funds either as investors or supporters, own the work of the artist, and choose to earn a return on their investment. The whole process will be dealt with through the creation of asset specific NFTs which will be handled and managed through the Musiverse Platform.

To expound a little more, Musiverse is the world’s first music app to be powered by blockchain technology. One can listen to music anytime, anywhere without interruptions from annoying advertisements. You can invest in the artist you love, show your support and help them grow. You can trade your music rights portfolio through the Musiverse dedicated music exchange, and make money.

The app is simple to use and allows one to listen to the music they love from any internet connected device. The app is currently in beta stage development and can be downloaded for trial through registration as a beta tester.

Don’t just buy music, invest in it. Musiverse’s specially designed digital trading platform means that you can buy into the songs, albums and artist you want to support. Musiverse utilizes blockchain technology in order to validate transactions, without any hidden fees. These are transacted within the Musiverse using a special coin, ‘the Muso’, which will also be traded on major exchanges such as Binance.

Pre-purchase of coins can be done using PayPal, Bank transfer, or through reputable crypto wallet accounts.

The decentralized nature of blockchain technology means transactions can be authenticated without the need of a third party. This means you can now build your investment portfolio through direct transactions with the artist. Better still you will be able to sell your investment at any point and claim the return. This means you become part of the ‘virtual record’ company that is supporting the manufacture and production of the artist. By pooling capital, that artist creates the liquidity needed to generate more music, which in turn holds the potential to increase the value of any investment you hold.

Transforming the way you interact with crypto markets, the Musiverse music app is fully integrated to a specially designed crypto trading platform. This allows you to easily buy, sell, gift and swap items in your portfolio with other Musiverse members in a completely frictionless way. The ‘Muso’ is a special token design to help facilitate this and will be listed on the top exchanges. Ride the wave of the crypto exchange whilst listening to your favourite music. Invest in the music you love and build your crypto portfolio.

The musician community of the Musiverse is the force that powers the app. The Musiverse blockchain based technology, offers an interface for musicians to be able to maintain greater control over the music they create. By registering and claiming ownership over an NFT (non-fungible token), musicians are able to determine the number of shares and cost that are available for fans and investors to purchase. The artist retains ownership at their discretion, and also hold a specified number of shares. Now you can become your own record company, with funds raised from your fanbase, powered by blockchain technology.

As fans and investors purchase shares in a song or album, so liquidity is generated that is directly available to the artist. This enables the artist to create more work, increasing their overall value, and delivering a new set of songs that can be enjoyed my millions of people. When you think about it, the real value here is coming from the mind and talents of the musician, which generates the value. That is why the Musiverse is powered by musicians: For musicians, by musicians and of musicians.
